Art Nouveau was an ornamental style of art that flourished between about 1890 and 1910 throughout Europe and the United States. The roots of Art Nouveau can be traced back to the Arts and Crafts Movement in England during the second half of the 19th century.

The Vienna Secession group of Austria produced a relatively austere iteration of the Art Nouveau style which mixed curving and geometric elements. The group included designers such as Koloman Moser, Josef Hoffmann and Joseph Maria Olbrich who were known for their unique designs. The creator of this table is unknown, but the incredible detail in the design, including geometric and cut out features resembles the work of Josef Hoffman and is in excellent overall condition for its age.

Very good antique condition. Minor wear.
